Location

Situated on a beautiful unspoilt stretch of coast on the western region of the Costa del Sol.  Don Juan Beach Resort is located between Puerto De La Duquesa and Sotogrande in the middle of one of the best golfing regions in Spain. 

Airports are easily accessible with Gibraltar a mere 20 minutes drive in one direction and Malaga approximately an hour in the other.  The elegance and sophistication of Marbella and the famous Puerto Banus are only half an hour away. From its position on the beach front, the resort has panoramic sea views along the coast and beyond to the mountains of Africa. 

Description

The complex consists of 100 apartments and penthouses each with private terraces and superb sea views.  All apartments come fully equipped and furnished with parking and storage rooms provided for most.  There are 6,000m2 of landscaped gardens featuring palm trees around waterfalls and ponds, two swimming pools, a bar and a restaurant.  The gardens lead directly onto the sandy beach. 

Internally, Don Juan has all the amenities usually associated with a top class hotel complex including bars and restaurants, a large indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath.  As you would expect there is room service, laundry and other standard facilities.

Local Attractions

Adjacent to the hotel you can find a Castillian Restaurant – San Raphael, a Chinese Restaurant – Dragon De Oro and Schooners Bar.

Castillo, a lovely old Spanish village is a mere 10 minutes walk along the sandy beach featuring a number of highly recommended fish restaurants, popular beach bars and of course the castle after which it was named.

Puerto De La Duquesa is a lively part adjacent to Castillo.  It offers international cuisine in its many restaurants overlooking the Marina, and has plenty of night time entertainment.

Sabinillas, just 5 minutes by car or a half hour walk along the beach, is the local town.  In addition to banks, post office and chemists it has an attractive beach side promenade, lots of cafes, bars, restaurants, small shops and three large supermarkets.

Estapona is 20 minutes away in one direction and Sotogrande is 15 minutes in the other.

Selwo Safari Park, just the other side of Estapona is well worth a visit, but allow a full day to fully appreciate it.

Gibraltar is another fascinating visit.  Don’t miss the rock tour or the dolphin boat rides.
