This is a plot of land on offer with planning permission for a beautiful villa and swimming pool.  The land is in a rural setting about 2 Km from the town of Moratalla inland from Murcia.  The land is about 1 hr 15 mins from the coast in a lovely area with mountains and trees and fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.  

The plans for the villa are high spec and really well done by an architect in Madrid.  They comprise of a lounge, kitchen, dining area and bathroom on the ground floor and upstairs are 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and an upstairs terrace. Outside there is a large terrace with a swimming pool and a private garage.  The surrounding land has a wealth of trees and fantastic views.

Moratalla is a small typically Spanish market town set in the mountains of Murcia. On entering the town there are two monuments either side of the road to celebrate the Tamboristas and walking round the town you will come across the convent Francisco.  The Church of Santa Maria and the Castle are prominent and both well worth a visit if only for the breathtaking views.

The buildings are narrow and high in the centre is the Calle Major, this is the start of the tapas bars. There are many good tapas bars to eat at in Moratalla. Some of the bars do a reasonable Menu Del Dia but however do be aware of the siesta time. There is an indoor market that sells good fruit, vegetables meats and fish and a few other little shops and the weekly street market is held on a Saturday.

Moratalla is full of culture with its lovely narrow streets and as with all Spanish towns it is famous for its fiestas. There seem to be fiestas almost every month, the main one being Samana Santa. The tamborista dressed in distinct hand-made robs with drums that are also traditionally made.

There is also the week of the Bull Run from the 11th to the 17th July. Bulls and cows are herded into the streets and young would be Matadors try to outrun or outwit them.  The most significant part of all these celebrations is the atmosphere. Everyone gets into the spirit of the event and the enjoyment is radiated across the town. All the little garages become bars and tapas houses for friends and relatives to enjoy. The bars themselves are thriving.
